Quickspin grabs six nominations in Women in Gaming Diversity Awards
Stockholm, April 11th, 2019 – Swedish slot specialist Quickspin, a Playtech Group company, has been nominated in six categories in the prestigious Women in Gaming Diversity Awards: the B2B Excellence Award, Best Place to Work, Company of the Year, Leader of the Year, Star of the Future, and Young Leader of the Year.
Quickspin as a company has been nominated for both Best Place to Work and Company of the Year, two categories in which a great deal of success can be attributed to the company’s comprehensive Gender Equality Plan, as well as the proactive equality work which is led and managed by the HR Department.
In addition to these two nominations, the following individuals have been nominated for these specific categories:Emilie Zamponi, Gamification Sales Director, B2B Excellence; Sandra Lindberg, HR Manager, Leader of the Year; Valeria Russo, Account Manager, Star of the Future, and Tetyana Matvyeyeva, Agile Project Manager, Market & Integrations, Young Leader of the Year Award.
Daniel Lindberg, Quickspin CEO, said: “We couldn’t be happier about these nominations and we’re so proud of all our nominees! At Quickspin, we want everyone to have the same opportunity to thrive and we see ourselves as more than a workplace – when you join us, you become a part of the Quickspin family!
We believe in equality and diversity throughout the entire organization and this is something we have worked systematically with over the past few years. Our HR Manager, Sandra Lindberg, has played an instrumental part in this work. Sandra has been working with equality in a goal-oriented way from day one, all the way from the board room and down to the recruitment process. She makes sure that we always follow our goals, and she sets up action plans to measure things like the number of women who look at our Career page or apply for our jobs.
We believe that the best way of attracting women to our company is by being, and recruiting, role models. It’s like that expression: ‘you can’t be what you can’t see’. What we do internally shows through on the outside, which in turn helps attract other talented women. It’s a win-win.
Our equality work is at the heart of everything we do and who we are, so being recognized by such a prestigious industry award feels like an amazing acknowledgement of our work, and it’s a great testament to Sandra’s success!”
The Women in Gaming Diversity Awards is hosted by The International Gaming Awards (IGA), which is known as the ‘Oscars of the Gaming Industry’. The WIG Diversity Awards state on their website that they are “a superb opportunity for employers to recognize wellbeing and diversity within their organization and the contribution it has on the success to their business”. The Diversity in Gaming Awards will take place on the 16thof May 2019 at the Savoy Hotel, London.
